چکیده

Objective: Research in recent years focused on the role of apelin-APJ axis pathologic fibrosis. The includes parenchyma and mesenchymal cells most organs. Reduction parenchymal activation fibroblasts generally results fibrosis organ. In this study, aim was to reveal differences apelin tendons with primary repair. Methods: study used 15 male Wistar Albino rats. right left legs rats were used. Rats divided into 3 groups containing 5 each. Group 1 sham group; 2 had tendon repair performed sacrificed weeks later; 6 later. Under anesthesia, bilateral tendonectomy surgically repaired. Tendons removed 3rd 6th weeks. Samples immunohistochemically stained for stain degree assessed from 0 4 a light microscope. scores compared Friedman test. Results: statistical evaluation identified that group statistically significantly higher levels other two groups. There no significant difference between weeks. Conclusion: This concluded may be beneficial healing increase

Ultrastructural determinants of murine achilles tendon strength during healing.

The mechanisms by which tendon strength is established during growth and development and restored following injury are not completely understood and are likely to be complex, multifactorial processes. Several studies examining the relationship between mechanical behavior and ultrastructural characteristics of tendons and ligaments during growth and maturation suggest that collagen fibril diamet...

Rat Achilles tendon healing: mechanical loading and gene expression.

Injured tendons require mechanical tension for optimal healing, but it is unclear which genes are upregulated and responsible for this effect. We unloaded one Achilles tendon in rats by Botox injections in the calf muscles. The tendon was then transected and left to heal. We studied mechanical properties of the tendon calluses, as well as mRNA expression, and compared them with loaded controls....

Achilles Tendon Healing in Inos Knockout Mice

Nitric oxide (NO), a diatomic free radical, regulates the functions of many mammalian cells. We have previously reported that nitric oxide synthases (iNOS, eNOS and bNOS) are induced during rat tendon healing and inhibition of nitric oxide synthases (NOS) inhibited rat tendon healing [1]. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of deleting the iNOS gene on Achilles tendon healing in m...

Antioxidant Properties of Pistacia khinjuk Accelerate Healing of the Experimental Achilles Tendon Injury in Rabbits

Background: Delayed tendon healing and tendon adhesions are still found to be among the complications that occur most often after tendon repair. Pistacia khinjuk is one of the three species of Pistacia growing in Iran. Objective: In this study, the role of local injection of ethanolic extract of P. khinjuk was evaluated in healing of the experimental Achilles tendon injury in rabbits. Metho...
